I am really excited to be a part of the Habitat For Humanity Women Build 2025 project. We will be working to build a safe, stable home for two families in need. They are both single moms who have spent the past several years moving from place to place. Working long hours at more than one job just trying to keep up with increasing rent. Or having to move in with relatives when that became too difficult. Both of these strong, determined women expressed how much they wanted to have a place that they could call their forever home. To be able to give their children a home that would always be there for them. A place where they could create lasting memories. I was raised by a single mom until she remarried when I was 11 years old. I saw how hard she worked to keep a roof over our heads and to put food on the table. She was an inspiration to me and I was always so proud of her. I know how difficult it was for her and I can only imagine how grateful we would have both been if Habitat for Humanity had built a house for us. Many of us know the comfort of a place to call home. Somewhere to feel safe, build memories and dream about the future. But not everyone is so fortunate. Habitat for Humanity provides families with the chance to gain that same security, dignity and stability. I am reaching out to you to ask you to consider donating.
