You have built a successful business and now you can help build your community. Join other fellow businesses and together help transform the Delray Beach community and improve lives of local families who need a hand-up.
This concept has been a City of Delray Beach tradition since 1989 that has evolved into an exciting new partnership in 2018 with Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County for the new and enhanced “Rock the Block 2018”. In follow up to Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County’s successful 2017 Veteran’s Build Neighborhood Revitalization, with participation by City Officials including Mayor Cary Glickstein, Chief of Police, Jeffrey Goldman and Jennifer Costello, Community Improvement Project Administrator it was a logical alignment of expertise and a great new partnership to benefit the community.
“Rock the Block 2018” brings together new opportunities for businesses and service organizations to sponsor a Rock the Block Home for $2500 that underwrites the constructions materials, tools, paint and painting equipment and landscaping costs of helping a “Neighbor in Need” led by Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County’s team of construction professionals including, Neighborhood Revitalization Coordinator, Crystal Spears. Presenting Home Sponsors can bring their entire group of employees or service organization membership to transform their actual “Rock the Block Home” together as a team while working alongside the “Neighbor in Need Homeowner.” This a very meaningful and impactful way to connect and get to know the neighbors we are partnering with in our community through our charitable contributions of funds and hands-on volunteer work.
In a one to two block radius, families have been identified and qualified based on the Homeowner’s financial need as “Rock the Block Homes” available for sponsorship. Rock the Block Home homeowners are area seniors, veterans, people with disabilities or health issues, and families with young children who live in Delray Beach and own their homes.
No experience necessary. Two Sponsorship options are available:

These ten teams will donate or fundraise a minimum of $2,500.
Unlimited: Local businesses that would like to participate and bring 10 volunteers to work alongside Rock The Block homeowners will donate or fundraise a minimum of $1,000.
All Participants receive a stylish Rock the Block T-Shirt to wear while working, light breakfast and lunch. All participants must be registered and sign the necessary waivers prior to the actual day of “Rock the Block” to ensure a spot.
The new “Rock the Block 2018” continues to be backed by long-time Program Sponsors, Delray Beach CRA, The Home Depot and powered by food donated from Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. Over the past 29 years, thousands of individuals have worked together to paint more than 200 houses for low-income residents in Delray Beach.
