As a Trust & Estate and Corporate Governance attorney at Hinman, Howard & Kattell, much of my work involves planning for the future and building strong legal foundations for families and organizations. It’s a privilege to do this work, and it’s an even greater privilege to see it come to life through our firm's partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County. On a daily basis, my firm is deeply involved in the Habitat mission. We handle the legal corporate governance details for Habitat, and more importantly, we designed the stack of legal documents, deeds, titles, mortgages and restrictions, that transform from mere paperwork into the very foundation of a family's future. We provide the legal blueprint, and Habitat, with its volunteers and supporters, builds the physical one. This work has given me a profound appreciation for the stability and hope that a safe, affordable home provides. And that is why I am so excited to trade my briefcase for a hard hat and personally help raise the walls on a new home during the Habitat for Humanity Executive Build. On October 10th, I will be joining other community leaders to build a home for a family right here in our community. But to do that, I need your support. My personal fundraising goal is $3,500, and every single dollar will go directly towards the lumber, nails, windows, and doors that will create a place of safety and strength for a local family. Your donation, no matter the size, is a direct investment in our community. It’s a tool that helps build not just a house, but also stability, self-reliance, and a brighter future for generations to come.
