I have participated in Habitat Builds for many years. I represent my family and my family business. Capitol Lighting’s 5 Pillars of Making Lives Brighter includes Making Lives Brighter in our communities. A major part of that mission is our involvement with Habitat for Humanity. We have had the honor to sponsor Habitat homes in the past few years and completed several team builds. Personally, I have joined my fellow CEOs in the community in the CEO Build for the past 6 years. We recently had the groundbreaking ceremony for our most recent home sponsorship in Delray and participated in several home dedications in the past few years. The experience of handing the keys to a new Habitat Homeowner is an inexplicable feeling. Watching the immense joy in the eyes of a single mother and her young children as they cross the threshold of a home of their own is a feeling I will never forget. Knowing that this family will have a safe place to make dinner, do homework, host family events is wonderful to see. It is tremendously gratifying to know that my team and my company helped in some small way we helped to make this happen. We appreciate our partnership with Habitat for Humanity and hope to continue to strengthen that partnership in the future.
