The Veteran’s Day Build honors and brings together a cross section of veterans from WWII to recent returning veterans to come together with local civic and business leaders and volunteers to help fellow veterans and seniors living in the City’s “New Pines” (Delray Manors) neighborhood located North of Yamato Road, between Dixie and Federal Highway. The camaraderie of over 200 veterans, civic and business leaders and volunteers working along residents to improve ten homes in one day is a big impact to building a stronger community. “Brush with Kindness” entire home painting, landscaping clean out and planting, exterior repairs, new mailboxes and an American flag installed by veterans at each of the ten homes will be led by Habitat’s construction professionals.
