About College Week, March 10 - 14, 2025:Hey, Palm Beach County college students: join us for a meaningful and rewarding spring break experience! Habitat GBC's College Week is a 5-day program is open to college students aged 18 and older and offers an opportunity to make a real impact while learning valuable skills. With a participation fee of $150 per student (can be fundraised and/or donated), this initiative aims to offer students an alternative to traditional spring break activities and educate them on the importance of community service and giving back.In addition to hands-on construction experience, students will develop leadership skills, enjoy mentorship opportunities, and build lasting connections with peers and community members. Through teamwork and service, participants will create lifelong memories while making a tangible difference for families in need of affordable housing.
This immersive program is more than just building homes—it's about building relationships, fostering personal growth, and making a lasting difference.

Details: Your $150 fee includes: daily lunch, group transportation from the meeting point (Greenacres Education Center) to South Bay build/job sites, welcome and farewell dinner, and fun group activity. This program is intended for college students living in or near Palm Beach County. Transportation to the meeting point (Greenacres Office) and overnight accommodations will not be provided.
Schedule
Day 1 - Monday, March 10
9:00 am: Orientation at Greenacres Education Center
11:30 a.m: Lunch
12:00 - 3:00 p.m: Volunteer at the ReStore Greenacres
4:00 -7:00 p.m: Welcome BBQ at park
Day 2 - Tuesday, March 11
8:00 a.m: Meet at Greenacres Education Center and drive together to South Bay volunteer/job site
9:00 a.m: Jobsite Arrival
12:00 p.m: Lunch
2:00 p.m: Depart jobsite, return to Greenacres Education Center
Day 3 - Wednesday, March 12
8:00 a.m: Meet at Greenacres Education Center and drive together to South Bay volunteer/job site
9:00 a.m: Jobsite Arrival
12:00 p.m: Lunch
2:00 p.m: Depart jobsite, return to Greenacres Education Center
Day 4 - Thursday, March 13
8:00 a.m: Meet at Greenacres Education Center and drive together to South Bay volunteer/job site
